Need an Urgent Appointment?
Here at Upton Dental Practice we have emergency slots every day from 12pm until 1pm for our regular patients.
If you are suffering with:
- Pain
- Swelling of the face
- Trauma - this is usually caused by a blow to the face. A lost filling,lost crown/veneer is NOT counted as trauma.
- Bleeding - uncontrolled, such as after an extraction.
These Emergency slots are not available for pre-booking and are only opened on the day of the appointment. Should you require Urgent Treatment then you must ring at 9am and you will be give you an appointment for the 12 o'clock slots.
If you are suffering with:
- a lost filling
- a broken tooth
- a lost crown/veneer
Please call the practice at 10am. We must prioritize patients suffering with swellings and toothache and then we can open up the emergency slots for broken teeth etc.
If you are not already under a treatment plan then the cost of an Urgent appointment is £20.60 on the NHS.

Revive Dental Care offers NHS Emergency Dental Clinics across Liverpool, Wirral and Cheshire, with emergency appointments for patients who need urgent treatment, advice and support on dental queries or referral to other services.
If you need help with an urgent dental problem, call our Emergency Helpline, available from 9am to 9.30pm every day, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
Please note that this is an appointment only service - we do not operate a 'drop-in' service at any of our surgeries.

The service is provided according to strict clinical criteria, and when you get a call you'll be assessed by a member of our clinical team to make sure your problem comes under either
- Pain that cant be controlled with pain relief medicines
- Swelling of the face
- Trauma - this is usually caused by a blow to the face. A lost filling,lost crown/veneer is NOT counted as trauma.
- Bleeding - uncontrolled, such as after an extraction.
If you're given an appointment and your problem doesn't fit any of the above, you will still have to pay the NHS charge of £20.60 but may receive advice and not treatment.
Clinic times vary, and at busy times or when you local clinic's not available you may be offered an appointment at an alternative location.
